Every WeeSpice order is dispatched from our Bristol, Pennsylvania location at 311 Old Rodgers Road. Whether you're in Bristol, Philadelphia, Levittown, or anywhere else in the US, your spices travel a short distance to reach your kitchen — not months through a bulk distribution warehouse.
WeeSpice was founded by Shomari Weedor and Yasiru Udara with a direct bridge between Sri Lanka's spice-growing regions and American kitchens. Yasiru grew up in Sri Lanka, where true Ceylon cinnamon is part of everyday life. Shomari recognized that most US households were using low-grade cinnamon substitutes without knowing an alternative existed. The result: a small-batch spice operation packed and dispatched from right here in Bucks County, PA.
Our full Ceylon spice range is dispatched from Bristol, PA — not drop-shipped from overseas or routed through a third-party fulfillment center. Every order includes:
Most cinnamon available in Bristol-area supermarkets is cassia — a different species of bark (typically Cinnamomum cassia or Cinnamomum aromaticum) that's thicker, darker, and sharper in flavor. True Ceylon cinnamon — Cinnamomum verum — is the original species from Sri Lanka, with thinner bark layers, a lighter color, and a naturally sweeter, more delicate aroma.
WeeSpice sources exclusively from Sri Lanka and uses the Alba grade for its cinnamon sticks: pencil-thin quills that infuse beautifully in tea, chai, desserts, and slow-cooked dishes. The difference is immediate if you've only used supermarket cinnamon before.
